Vital Tones Parkinson is a brainwave sound therapy app designed to positively impact Parkinson's Disease. The app utilizes brainwave sound stimulation to potentially provide benefits to individuals with this degenerative disorder of the central nervous system, primarily affecting the motor system.

Parkinson's disease is characterized by the death of dopamine-generating cells in the substantia nigra, a region of the midbrain. This leads to motor symptoms such as shaking, rigidity, slowness of movement, difficulty with walking and gait. As the disease progresses, individuals may also experience thinking and behavioral problems, including dementia, and commonly face depression as a psychiatric symptom. Additionally, sensory, sleep, and emotional problems may arise.

The basal ganglia, a group of brain structures innervated by the dopaminergic system, are particularly affected in Parkinson's disease. The primary symptoms of the disease stem from the reduced activity of dopamine-secreting cells due to cell death in the pars compacta region of the substantia nigra. PD affects five major pathways in the brain that connect various brain areas with the basal ganglia. These pathways, known as the motor, oculo-motor, associative, limbic, and orbitofrontal circuits, play crucial roles in movement, attention, and learning. Their disruption contributes to many of the symptoms experienced in Parkinson's disease.

Vital Tones Parkinson offers three different sessions. Session 1 lasts for 33 minutes, Session 2 for 32 minutes, and Session 3 for 34 minutes. These sessions are designed to provide brainwave sound stimulation in an attempt to positively influence the condition.
